Mossless Magazine

Mosless Magazine featuring the work of Brea Souders, Alana Celii, and Sean Vegezzi and Bobby Doherty

Last week, in the midst of Thanksgiving hosting and cooking, I received in the mail a nice package from Romke Hoogwaerts of Mossless Magazine with a copy of the print edition. And was blown away. They are beautiful! The reproduction is stunning, and I love the layouts inside each book. There's something so powerful these days, that small independent publishers can produce a printed magazine so beautifully. This issue is made up of four magazines each featuring the work and words of one photographer.

Mossless Magazine was, until recently, an online blog that presented short interviews with a different photographer every two days. They asked four fairly straightforward questions about the work, and presented each photographers answers simply enough accompanied by one of their photographs. A little over a year ago, one of the contributors to the blog approached me about doing one such interview, and I agreed. You can read it here. It was one of the first opportunities I had to answer some questions that I found challenging, and were difficult to answer.

At any rate, seems they've stopped the every other day online interviews, selected a four photographers who had been interviewed to publish their work, conducted a Kickstarter campaign, and have now produced these lovely magazines. Would be worth getting you hands on these, and I expect you can contact them here to order them.

And I have to say, having contributed a little to several Kickstarter campaigns over the past few months, I've been reaping the benefits in the form of some great art.
